Under 768.0981, insurers, prepaid limited health service organizations, health maintenance organizations, and prepaid health clinics “shall not be liable for the medical negligence of a health care provider with whom the licensed or certified entity has entered into a contract, other than an employee of such licensed or certified entity, unless the licensed or certified entity expressly directs or exercises actual control over the specific conduct that caused injury.” (Emphasis added.)
